Chatterbox Speech and Language Clinic is a family-centered practice dedicated to providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and adults. We take pride in creating a warm, professional environment where clients and families feel supported. As our clinic grows, we are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Data Entry Specialist to join our administrative team.

Position Overview

The Data Entry Specialist plays a key role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date records within the clinic. This position involves entering client data, appointment details, billing information, and other administrative content into our electronic systems. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, efficient, and committed to maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input client demographics, appointment schedules, and therapy session data into electronic medical records (EMR) systems

  • Update and maintain billing and insurance information

  • Review and verify data for errors, completeness, and accuracy

  • Organize digital files and ensure secure storage of sensitive information

  • Generate reports or summaries as requested by clinical or administrative staff

  • Ensure all data entry practices comply with HIPAA and clinic privacy standards

  • Assist with scanning, filing, and organizing physical and digital documents

  • Collaborate with front desk and clinical team to ensure smooth administrative operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, or medical office setting (preferred)

  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or Google Workspace

  • Experience with EMR systems or other clinic management software is a plus

  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
