Location: ST. PAUL, MN

part time, around 25 hours a week

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic fitness and wellness specialist who is passionate about supporting healthy lifestyle habits at our St. Paul Wellness Center in St Paul, MN. The hours of operation vary day to day.

Carrying out the daily tasks that keep the facility running smoothly.

• Meet with employees for facility orientations, fitness consultations for members and program design.
• Educate participants on proven health and fitness information, available fitness and engagement programming and wellness services.
• Monitor, engage and instruct participants in the Wellness Center on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training equipment within the facility.
• Maintain positive customer and client experience by providing the highest quality of service.
• Instruct group exercise classes and maintain a client base for personal training.
• Specialists are responsible for the weekly email newsletter content on a rotational basis and monthly updates the bulletin boards throughout the center.
• Assist the staff in onsite laundry services throughout the day.
• Attends company functions representing the Wellness Center.
• Fitness Specialists also assist in other facility operations as the supervisor assign duties.
• Be able to instruct group fitness classes
• Be able to work onsite and assist the staff in working opening and closing shifts.

Preferred:

• Previous experience teaching group exercise classes with the ability to maintain a personal training client base.

• Able to work onsite and assist the staff in working opening and closing shifts.

• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.

• Ability to work well independently and in teams and manage multiple responsibilities needed.

• Microsoft Office knowledge helpful.

• American College of Exercise (ACE) certification preferred.

• Competency in prescribing and completing exercise testing.

Must be CPR/AED and First Aid certified.

• A degree in a health related-field or hold a NCCA-accredited certification in a fitness related certification.
